If we look at the thumbnail, the original thumbnail featuring the blackface joke was removed when the outcry on Twitter took place, in fact, it was replaced by a different joke made about Twitter being offended. ![]() Schlatt doesn't make his "classic" types of jokes ( No dick and balls/gay jokes etc.) instead the video is filled with offensive content from all parties involved. Now let's look at the video, the video is of Jackbox, not unusual for his relatively continuous upload schedule however the content inside is a lot different than normal. ![]() I believe this has been an intentional shift in content tonality, one which would alienate and offend the Stans but would still be respected, watched and enjoyed by his fanbase. Initially starting with the "Baby Yuto hanging" skit to his most recent video of which is full of offensive and dark humour. So what exactly is my point? Well, you could say that Jschlatt's content has become "edgier" over time and although he has been offensive in plenty of classic videos there has been a definitive change. Schlatt has been the victim of plenty of cancellations over the few years he's been active and as such has become a topic he has discussed openly and plenty and has made many jokes about it in several videos and live streams. ![]() Secondly, Schlatt has an obvious and blatant dislike for the Stan/DreamTWT/SMPLiveTWT community, or whatever you'd prefer to call it. As such, Schlatt has been trying his best to move away from that type of generally "family-friendly" content ( I understand that Schlatt has never been "family-friendly" but he does at least acknowledge his fanbase are relatively young children.) Recently a clip of Mizkif has surfaced in which he admits that this in fact the case. So I've seen many people discussing, defending and attacking Schlatt over his latest video and only a few speculating on the topic and initially, I was quick to defend against the Stans trying to cancel him (for obvious reasons) however when I looked at it deeper I realised that this video was intentional and the video is quite literally offensive for the sake of being offensive.įirstly, it's no big secret that Schlatt hates his reputation as a "Minecraft YouTuber", a reputation which along with the Carson allegations and situation has only worsened over time.
